Your piano is constantly responding to the air surrounding it and to the movements and vibrations of the music that’s played. What this means is that your piano’s condition is unique at any given time. Great piano service begins with a quick assessment. Your observations are very important also and with your input, we prioritize work and create a plan for our session and perhaps beyond.
Your tuning is performed by a technician who has passed aural tuning testing from the Piano Technicians Guild; has qualified as a Registered Piano Technician (learn more); has spent more than a decade practicing and refining tuning hammer technique for accuracy and stability; and has been tested on the concert stage.
Not every technician is efficient with tuning and repairs. Registered Piano Technicians have been rigorously time tested for repairs, regulation, tuning and other skills. Your service visit will typically take 90 minutes and will follow your unique, optimized plan for full service including tuning.
Your service visit will cost $175. We will never surprise you with additional charges for work we are doing on that day. We may suggest options for work that will improve your piano down the road, but you are in charge of how much you spend and when.
Some companies assign your technician based on their convenience, not your preferences. We don’t like that, so we don’t do it. Click here to get to know your technician.
